Who is Punished in Sin and Punishment?

After playing Sin and Punishment Star Successor for the Wii I could not help being reminded of a quote from a friend of mine. It was years ago after he saw the movie, “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom“. He began to say that the movie had so much action he found himself bored and looking away. Sin and Punishment Star Successor is the same way. Almost constant barrage of enemies on the screen, over the top and non stop.

Granted, this is the appeal of most games today. You want to get your money’s worth so it BETTER have a lot of action. But in the end the experience is draining and not very satisfying.  The characters in this game are the worst I have ever seen in ANY video game, they look like characters on the cutting room floor of a low budget Animae movie.

I fail to see any real skill or strategy in the game. In fact, I am going to try an experiment. I am going to tape down the fire button with duct tape and just have a beer and I bet I will get a pretty good score.

In the end, it is games like these that tell me why today’s youth have no attention span. The yearning for more and more action in the end leads to nothing but boredome. A good game must have a story developed and suspense building. This game just vomits enemies.
